Ann Higdon, President and Founder of Improved Solutions for Urban Systems, speaks openly about the challenges social entrepreneurs face working within systems to develop effective ways to improve lives. She shares some of her own experiences and successes trying to change Dayton, Ohio's education system to better serve youth who are underachieving, dropouts, or court-involved.

Ann challenges social entrepreneurs to build movements that families and communities can both get behind and lead. When thousands of kids are waiting in line to get a new chance and we, as a society, are unable to make that opportunity happen, she argues, we have to fight a better fight, launch better campaigns, and include those who are struggling most to join with us.
